You said you'd never do this again but here you are doing it.

Many people come out of less than desirable situations with a level of clarity that often has them reciting,"how the hell did I let myself get into and stay in that mess". When a mans actions don't add up to his alleged intentions it's easy to tell our friends to walk away.  Its also easy for you to consider all the reasons why you should be walking away but theres something relentless about the human heart and spirit. We always want to make sense of what he's doing, what he's not doing and what that could all possibly mean. We keep our girlfriends up late and into the wee hours of the morning talking about how it all doesnt make sense instead of saying oh well, let this be a solid sign of things to come and then keep it moving.

But back to that moment, when you've finally made a stand for yourself and have decided to move on and out, you tell yourself never again as you familiarize yourself with the signs that you chose to ignore before.

Very few people will ever tell who they are but every man and woman you meet will show you who they truly are.

The gap between a persons sales pitch and who they truly reveal themselves to be should be minimal. Life is aspirational after all. We're constantly working to be better or more so there will always be a gap. A reasonable gap that is.

So now its a couple months later and you still carry your vow with you however its most prevalent during boozy lunches with girlfriends insisting that the next will be different and then you meet him. Your heart gallops and your loneliness betrays you and your vow is forgotten as you date your ex all over again.

You said you wouldn't do this again and it's really very simple, don't.
